XIMEA honored by Vision Systems Design magazine Awards Program
June, 2020, Muenster, Germany – XIMEA GmbH, the innovator of scientific-grade cameras, was presented with an award at the Sixth Annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards presentation, which celebrates the disparate and innovative technologies, products, and systems found in machine vision and imaging.
The 37 Mpix sCMOS scientific camera model MX377 was recognized by a panel of esteemed expert judges consisting of systems integrators, consultants, and academics with years of experience in specifying, designing and configuring image processing and machine vision systems.
Besides the extremely high sensitivity combined with a large format sensor of 61 x 61 mm and 10 μm pixel size, the camera features Water (Liquid) and Air cooling in a compact form factor and weight, while the high-speed PCI Express interface ensures the delivery of 46 Fps.
The original camera design and optimized cooling modules are able to deliver exceptionally high Quantum efficiency of 95% with low noise at long exposure times, preserving the HDR of 90 dB and large Full well capacity of 110 Ke- in CMS mode.
Additionally, the MX377 camera model comes either with Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) sensor GSENSE6060 or its pin-compatible back-thinned version GSENSE6060BSI, offering various quality Grades (up to Grade 0) to meet the highest requirements.
“This innovative technology is packed in an aluminum housing precisely milled to provide the best cooling environment and is equipped with PCIe fiber cable that extracts the maximum performance from the sensor speed capabilities,” says Slava Klimkovitch, head of scientific division at XIMEA.” The large imaging area of these sensors makes them ideal for the most demanding Astronomical and Life science applications.”
The Innovators Awards are judged based on the following criteria:
Originality
Innovation
Impact on Designers, Systems Integrators, End Users
Fulfilling a need in the market that hasn’t been addressed
Leveraging a novel technology
Increasing productivity
The 2020 Visions Systems Design Innovators Awards Honorees will be featured in the July Issue of Vision Systems Design magazine as well as on the Webpage
