Lannion, France, April 19th, 2011 – The LaserBoxx LBX-559, unveiled by Oxxius, is a yellow DPSS laser module offering exceptional optical performance at 559 nm. Based on a proprietary next-generation monolithic resonator, the LBX-559 meets the cost and footprint of Laser Diode Modules. Its industry standard package of only 100x40x40mm3 simplifies integration into existing instruments.
Available at powers of 30 and 50mW in a TEM00 circular beam, its features include outstanding power stability (< 0.5 % over 8 hours), very low noise (< 0.5% rms from 10 Hz to 20 MHz) and power consumption as low as 20 W.
The LaserBoxx is built on a highly stable mechanical frame to ensure exceptional beam pointing stability and subsequent long term output power stability for Single-Mode fibre delivery.
The LBX-559 is the ideal source for applications such as Flow Cytometry or Confocal Microscopy, notably for excitation of PE or fruit proteins. Its 559nm wavelength fits perfectly the commercial filter sets available for these fluorophores. For higher power requirements, Oxxius offers its SLIM-561 up to 300mW.
Dedicated either to OEM integration or to laboratory use, the LaserBoxx LBX-559 is an alternative to bulky 561nm lasers and will soon become the new standard for yellow lasers.
Oxxius offers LaserBoxx modules from the UV to the NIR, including models dedicated for Flow Cytometry and Confocal Microscopy at 405, 488, 515, 588 and 640nm.
