Second Southeast Asian course on fluorescence techniques in Singapore
Together with the Institute of Medical Biology Microscopy Unit, PicoQuant gives an in-depth introduction to the different F-techniques
Berlin (Germany), 23 March 2012 – The first Southeast Asian course on F-techniques in June 2011 was met with great interest. Therefore the Institute of Medical Biology Microscopy Unit in Singapore and PicoQuant GmbH have decided to repeat the course in 2012. It will be held July 16 to 20, 2012 in Singapore. The course gives an in-depth introduction to the different fluorescence techniques and their application to the life sciences. Registration is possible until June 9, 2012.
The five day event consists of lectures and corresponding hands-on sessions. While the lectures deal with theory of F-techniques like FCS, FCCS, FLCS, FRET, FLIM and FRAP and their application in cell and developmental biology, the practical sessions in the afternoons cover steady-state and time-resolved experiments on various instruments provided by market leading companies. During a poster session and a welcome reception participants have the chance for further discussions with the instructors.
Date: July 16 to 20, 2012
Location: Institute of Medical Biology Microscopy Unit, Biopolis, Singapore
Registration: until June 9, 2012.
