PathXL to Resell Visiopharm’s Digital Pathology Solutions, TissuemorphDP and VisiomorphDP
Partnership in the European market
Belfast, Northern Ireland and Hørsholm, Denmark—November, 2011–, PathXL, a leading provider of Digital Pathology Workflow solutions, and Visiopharm, a leading technology provider of advanced software for quantitative image analysis solutions for life sciences, today announced a partnership in which PathXL will market Visiopharm’s Digital Pathology Solutions in Europe on a non-exclusive basis.
Aiming for a closer collaboration in the digital pathology market, PathXL will become a reseller of Visiopharm’s toolboxes for advanced image analysis VisiomorphDP and TissuemorphDP. The image analysis tools are integrated with PathXL’s data management software, which offers a suite of specialist applications enabling users to upload, archive, search, share, collaborate, analyse, score and report on huge volumes of pathology data, without worrying about performance, security or ease of use and without getting locked into expensive proprietary standards and systems . The PathXL software can be provided as a hosted service over the web, enabling clients to experience the value of digital pathology, without the overhead of managing their own platform or the need for major capital outlay.
Visiopharm’s software for Digital Pathology provides efficient tools for extracting morphometric data from whole slide images. It is specifically designed for assisting pathologists in quantification of histological endpoints, such as positive nuclei, membrane intensity and biomarker scoring. The pathologist can work in true stain space and the knowledge and decisions by the pathologist can be easily stored electronically as user defined application protocols. These application protocols can be loaded and executed by any authorized operator.
