Materials Today Hysitron Special Issue 2010
Nanomechanical testing comes of age
A special issue devoted to nanoindentation, in situ techniques and more.
March 9, 2010 – Hysitron is delighted to bring to you this special issue in collaboration with Materials Today devoted to nanomechanical testing. Hysitron has prepared dedicated content to the issue alongside other papers from recent past publications of Materials Today and Acta Materialia.
This special issue includes:
– a fascinating exploration in to the analysis of ultra hard magnetic biomaterials in radular teeth.
– a nice overview of in situ nanoindentation in the SEM.
– a review of the quantitative in situ analysis of NiTi martensitic phase transformations at the nanoscale.
– a fascinating demonstration of a couple of nanoindentation techniques utilities in fuel cells and organic photovoltaics.
– a paper detailing the more recent advancement of in situ SPM imaging; where a nanoindenter tip is simultaneously used as a 3D imaging device, this combined with nanoindentation proves for a powerful tool of analysis
– finally, an article titled “In Situ nanoindentation in the TEM” provides a quick history and summary of the technique.
We hope you all enjoy reading through this digital edition of Materials Today Hysitron Special Issue 2010!
