KaVo Dental announces strategic partnership with Leica Microsystems
June 18, 2010 – Biberach an der Riss/Wetzlar, Germany. Leica Microsystems, a leading manufacturer of innovative surgical microscopes, has forged a strategic partnership with KaVo Dental GmbH, a leading international dental company, for marketing and development of dental products in Europe. In the first stage of this partnership, KaVo will launch the marketing of Leica dental microscopes in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, France, Benelux, Russia und Poland. The goal of this strategic alliance is to provide the modern dentist with state-of-the-art microscopy systems of the highest quality. The potential to integrate a dental microscope into an existing treatment unit and thus to optimize the workflow is of particular added value to the dentist.
Leica M320 F12 – Designed for Dentists
The Leica M320 F12 combines sophisticated esthetic and functional design with simple and ergonomic operation for unique performance characteristics. It is the only dental microscope wit LED illumination and High-Definition image technology. LED illumination yields crisp, bright and natural images with tremendous depth of field. With an operational lifespan of 60,000 hours, the cost of operation is appreciably lower than that of conventional light sources. With the HD technology, dentists can explore entirely new documentation, presentation and consultation opportunities, thereby improving their competitive position.

The new Leica M320 dental microscope and the head-mounted Leica HM500 by Leica Microsystems were tailor-made for the requirements of modern dental surgery. These instruments combine elegance, sophisticated functional design, ease of operation and ergonomic control with the well-known quality of Leica Optics.
Optical systems by Leica Microsystems have held key market positions in numerous medical fields such neurosurgery, ophthalmic surgery and otolaryngology surgery for many years.
