ISee3D Announces the Development of a 3D Single Lens Microscope Adapter for Hamilton Thorne
VANCOUVER, June 13, 2011 – ISee3D Inc. (TSX-V: ICT), announced today that they reached an agreement with Hamilton Thorne Ltd. (TSX-V: HTL), a leading solutions provider in life sciences, for the development of a Single Lens 3D microscope adapter. The adapter is planned to be released in the fall of 2011. Under this agreement, Hamilton Thorne has exclusive rights to sell the ISee3D three-dimensional technology within the cell biology research markets.
The development of this 3D adapter will result in the support of 3D display by research grade microscopes currently only capable of 2D video. Both inverted and upright configurations will be supported. This adapter produces 3D through the video channel via the camera’s optical port and is optimized for use in biological research. It provides a low cost solution for this grade of camera/microscope configuration and may also be fitted with a universal adapter to support other high-powered microscopes.
