HORIBA Scientific Announces New Universal Cathodoluminescence Accessory
Modular Universal CL Accessory Allows Seamless Integration with Any SEM to Enable CL Imaging and Spectroscopy Applications
HORIBA Scientific, a leading innovator in the manufacture of high performance scientific and analytical equipment, announces the launch of their Cathodoluminescence Universal Extension (CLUE). CLUE CL systems for imaging and spectroscopy analysis provide high resolution spectral information with the spatial resolution of an electron probe. CLUE features the widest spectral range available (from UV-VIS to IR), fast CL imaging, CL spectroscopy for detecting trace elements in natural and synthetic minerals, and hyperspectral mapping.
The new CLUE is designed to interface with any SEM. CLUE enhances the SEM’s analytical capabilities while maintaining its original functionality. Since the sample is able to remain in the same spot, CLUE can easily be combined with other microscopy applications, such as EDS and EBIC.
CLUE systems can integrate HORIBA’s MicroHR and iHR spectrometers, Synapse™ CCDs, and photomultiplier tube detectors to create a range of CL solutions. CLUE is also fully automated, controlled by our LabSpec software for setting of hardware experimental parameters, data-fitting, display and export. It is easy to use and offers comprehensive system control, and advanced data acquisition routines.
CLUE is perfect for cathodoluminescence applications in material sciences, mineralogy, geology, life sciences and Forensics.
