Hamamatsu Develops Auto-Gating Feature for Image Intensifiers to Enable High-Sensitivity Imaging at All Hours
Hamamatsu, Japan – October 28, 2010 – Hamamatsu Photonics K.K has developed a new automatic gating feature for image intensifiers to enable high-sensitivity imaging regardless of the level of available light. This new feature will be offered with Hamamatsu’s current lineup of image intensifiers. Possible applications include the development of surveillance cameras that can run for 24 hours in environments where there is no lighting. In scientific research, the new feature should contribute to the development of cameras for optical microscopy that make it even easier to analyze low-light phenomenon.
From December 1, samples of auto-gating image intensifier will be available to Japan-based and international manufacturers of surveillance cameras, microscopes, and other imaging instruments.
