Electron Microscopy Sciences announces the highly anticipated arrival of the Datacolor CHROMACAL™ Color Calibration System for Optical Microscopy
Take the guesswork out of adjusting color settings on your lab equipment. Now you can calibrate your computer monitors and brightfield microscope images and know that you are seeing and evaluating colors consistently.
Introducing Datacolor CHROMACAL™ Color Calibration System, an innovative new approach to standardizing color in microscopy imaging systems, available from Electron Microscopy Sciences. The system consists of three components to establish a color profile for the microscopy system:
• Proprietary software
• Color calibration microscope slide
• Computer monito calibration sensor
The system enables researchers, scientists and technicians to establish and preserve the color integrity of their digital images from transmitted, brightfield microscopy.
How does it work? The CHROMACAL™ software uses an image from a special calibration slide to establish a microscope system-specific color profile and applies that industry-standard profile to your specimen images. All original images are preserved. “CHROMACAL-ibrated” images are saved separately with amended metadata. The same calibration may be applied to individual images or in a batch process to images from an entire session. “This easy-to-use system will revolutionize digital microscopy imaging and greatly improve communication throughout the scientific community. I am excited to make this product available because of the positive impact it will have on our customers,” said Stacie Kirsch, President of Electron Microscopy Sciences.
