AutoQuant X Version 2.2.0 Image Deconvolution Software Offers New File Types and Improved Multi-Core Performance
Bethesda, Maryland – December 16, 2009
Media Cybernetics announces the release of AutoQuant X Version 2.2.0 image deconvolution and 3D visualization software. Version X 2.2.0 now offers two new file types by supporting the reading of Leica LIF files and the newest Olympus OIF files. In addition to its existing capability of processing multiple volumes concurrently, version X 2.2.0 can now distribute a single-volume workload over multiple processor cores enabling faster deconvolution completion times (approximately 33% faster), if the cores are available.
All packages of AutoQuant X 2.2.0 now include a line profile tool for spatial and intensity measurements, allowing instant quantitative justification of intensity changes after deconvolution. Along with these additions, X 2.2.0 will include improvement to the batch processing engine enabling more images to be cued for deconvolution. Running large batches overnight is now more reliable than ever.
The AutoQuant X software package includes AutoDeblur, the life science industry’s leading image deconvolution software. AutoQuant X users can retrieve better data from their images using the most complete suite of 2D and 3D algorithms available, including an advanced Blind Deconvolution algorithm which is both iterative and constrained. Improvements in the newest version X 2.2.0 have resulted in a new confocal algorithm better tuned to images where proper Nyquist sampling or over-sampling is used. Results have proven to be more quantitative and reproducible.
Along with the deconvolution tools in AutoDeblur, AutoQuant X still includes the 3D visualization capabilities of AutoVisualize. AutoVisualize makes it easy for users to bring complex datasets to life with the use of 3D visualization and manipulation tools.
Version X 2.2.0 is now available to current customers who own AutoQuant X 2.0 and higher using AutoQuant’s TrueUpdate process at no additional cost. Computers with access to the internet will be able to access the True Update via the “Help | Check for Update” option. All customers with earlier versions to X2.0 are encouraged to take advantage of this excellent upgrade opportunity.
